August 2025 Newsletter
Kia ora everyone, I hope you are managing to stay warm as we negotiate these winter months. At Lifekidz we are blessed to have a large amount of space both indoors and out, so that there is still scope for lots of activities.
Our Day Program currently has vacancies for HN (High Needs) young people who have either left school or will be transitioning at the end of the year. Please contact me to gain further information.
Planning is underway for our AGM to be held here at Lifekidz on the 18th of Aug at 6pm and we would love you to join us, meet our board members and get a deeper understanding of our programs.
Resources; We would like to do a shout out to the IHC library based in Wellington, they have an excellent selection of books on Autism and disability in general and will mail them to you free of charge including return post. Join up online to avail yourself of this amazing service. https://www.ihc.org.nz/how-we-can-help/library
Disability Connect will run their annual expo in Sept and for those who have children transitioning from school it is an excellent resource into what providers are in the Auckland area. http://www.disabilityconnect.org.nz/
We would like to offer sincere thanks to Cool Awnings for donating all the shade sails for our newly completed disability friendly playground, such wonderful generosity. https://www.coolawnings.co.nz/
Glass Ceiling has commenced weekly dance and music classes for us on a Thursday, and we still love our weekly art sessions with Real World Living.
The Sept School Holiday program bookings are open, if your child has been before, just send me an email to rebook. If you are new to this program, please get in touch to make an appointment to enrol. The After School program is also open for new enrolments and all funding streams are accepted.
